It is one thing that the packaging has been changed (even though it is supposedly "the best and permitted for medicinal teas at the moment"), but why is no attention being paid to ensuring that the packaging also works well in terms of handling, as before? It is a pity that the bags cannot be opened properly and always tear. Especially if you want to open several bags at once, it is very tedious. Sometimes I wonder whether the developers only design their packaging on the computer and don't use it themselves? Otherwise they must realize how impractical they are in daily use? Incidentally, this applies not only to tea packaging but also to meat packaging, for example.
Hello Joerg_, thank you very much for your feedback. We are sorry that the new packaging gave cause for complaint. The outer bags of the medicinal teas have a perforation in the upper area on the right and left, which should make it easy to open the envelope. We are happy to take your feedback on board and have informed our manufacturer. They have examined the retained samples but have not been able to detect any deviations. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
I also regret the changeover. The perforation doesn't work well and I don't like switching to plastic anyway. They worked well before, so there was no reason to change. New is not always better.
Hi Larissa_68, I completely agree with you. Also interesting that the perforation still doesn't work, even 2 years after my complaint. However, it's reassuring that it wasn't me, but apparently it really is the packaging and that others also have trouble with it ;)
Hello everyone, this monastery garden tea is a medicinal tea. These have a medicinal effect and are officially approved. Due to these ingredients and to ensure that the legal requirements for the minimum content of the active ingredients and/or the lead substances are met, the teas have always been packaged in flavor-sealed packaging.
Even though the sachets of the tea bags used to feel like paper, they were made of a plastic called "polyvinylidene chloride-paper composite". This meant that the sachets could not be recycled and had to be disposed of with household waste. The new packaging is now made of 100% polypropylene, which means it can be disposed of in the plastic collection.
The notch for opening is fixed during production so that it is always in the same place. Unfortunately, there is no clear tear line due to the material. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why was the packaging of the bags changed to plastic? in my opinion not more ecological as Migros writes everywhere and when opening the corner comes off on both sides, which also does not speak in favor of this packaging?
Good morning PAJE M-Infoline answered BeKoBo' s question a few days ago. best regards Frederica
Hello PAJE, the Klostergarten medicinal teas have a medicinal effect and are officially approved. For the ingredients contained in medicinal teas, a minimum content of the active ingredients and / or the lead substances is prescribed. Due to the medicinal ingredients contained in the Klostergarten medicinal teas and in order to ensure the legal requirements for the minimum content of the active ingredients and the lead substances, the Klostergarten medicinal teas have always been packaged in aroma-sealed packaging. In order for the products to meet their usual and legally required qualities, it is essential to continue using a plastic outer bag. The new material is not a polyvinylidene chloride-paper composite, as was previously the case, but a mono-material, polypropylene. This is one of the most frequently used plastics for packaging and is currently classified as the most recyclable in the plastics sector. We try to design our packaging as ecologically as possible in compliance with the legal requirements. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I have been drinking monastery garden tea from Migros for years, if not decades. Now the bags are suddenly packaged in plastic instead of paper. Saving plastic in one place but increasing consumption in another? What's the point? Doesn't speak for Migros' otherwise rather ecological attitude...
