This product is misleading! It is labeled as verbena, but underneath is the Latin name and picture of lemon verbena—these are two completely different plant species with different ingredients and effects. If it were lemon verbena, it would smell like the lemon bush I have in my garden and dry for tea. The monastery garden tea has a rather herbaceous and bitter taste, as real verbena should, which is why I never looked more closely. I bought this "verbena tea" because of the effects of the plant. Now, after a long time, I noticed the picture and realized the mistake.
Hello kokola, thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We understand your confusion and would like to clarify the situation.
The ingredient in our Klostergarten Wohlriechendes Eisenkraut is actually lemon verbena, which has been known as "wohlriechendes Eisenkraut" in German for years. True verbena (Verbena officinalis) is a different plant species with a different aroma and effect.
The Latin name on the packaging clearly indicates the plant used, and the image also represents lemon verbena. We have tested the product and can confirm that the flavor matches the characteristic profile. We hope this explanation helps.Best regards, Your M-Infoline Team

Hello, where do the plants for Migros' teas come from?
Hi guest
Thank you for your request.
We source the verbena for the organic Klostergarten verbena tea from Africa and Asia. As tea is a natural product that is subject to natural variations in taste, we use tea and ingredients from different regions of origin to ensure a consistent quality standard.
We hope this will help you and look forward to your next visit.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

Apparently they've changed the pouches on the bags and it tastes funny!
Who has noticed the same thing???
The tea tastes like the paper sleeve or the ink, it's unpleasant.
Hello mitounet
We're sorry you didn't like the tea.
The manufacturer analyzed and tasted the reference samples. All the products met the established sensory standards. As tea is a natural product, slight fluctuations can never be ruled out.
The quality of this harvest was excellent, with a high level of essential oils. This means that good weather conditions enabled the plants to produce a greater quantity of the substances responsible for taste than in previous years. As a result, the tea has a more pronounced aroma. This is not a quality defect.
Best regards Your M-Infoline team
