We've been using this juicer with great satisfaction for some twenty years, with an old Kenwood Chef model which had a slow-speed power take-off on the top; we had to change this motor block which was worn out; on the new Chef the slow-speed take-off has inexplicably disappeared; hence the purchase of the AT312, which is quite similar to the old juicer except for the coupling.
Putting the coupling in place requires a little insistence, i.e. pressing down hard enough to counteract the elasticity of the small wedges on the underside before rotation. The whole thing is very sturdy and efficient; but it's not really suitable for lemons, as indicated in a previous comment, which is a lesser evil as a lemon is quickly squeezed by hand! For small, spherical citrus fruits such as lemon and grapefruit: no problem.

Returned - could not be locked on our Chef Baker KVC85. The wide, flattened "tip" is not suitable for smaller citrus fruits (limes).
