I think it's a shame that the potato varieties in Migros change so often! Once you've got a floury variety that contains what it says on the label, the next time you go shopping there are already other varieties. It's also annoying that there are practically no REAL floury varieties left. Where it says floury, it is practically never floury! For mashed potatoes, this is a real disappointment. Where has the good old Bintje gone?
This is not meant to be THE solution, but if you ever find good melige let them sprout and grow some... :))
Hello Schampoooo, thank you for your feedback. There are different varieties, which we select according to various criteria such as flouriness, yield, susceptibility to pests etc.. Some varieties are also easier to store than others. We are therefore forced to approve different products. To be classified as "floury", potatoes need a certain starch content. The more starch, the more floury the potatoes are. All floury potatoes meet these requirements in order to be classified as such. These potatoes are packaged in the blue line. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
