I bought two cheese slicers a week ago. I don't know how the good reviews came about, but both my slicers were completely unusable. The blade fastening screws were mounted on the rear edge of the blade, so that the blade simply folded away as soon as the sliced cheese was pushed over it. So I moved the screw-in sockets forward by 15 mm and shortened them by 5 mm so that they didn't poke through the soleplate. Then I finely sanded the soleplate with P240 sandpaper so that the cheese would slide and not be ground up. Now all I had to do was to remove the blade with a buffing wheel. Now the slicer is very good, even for the old sliced cheese from the Saanenland.
Top. After slicing 1.6 kg of Sbrinz, it pays for itself (sliced Sbrinz costs 2.20 francs/100 g). And of course it is better freshly sliced and the shavings are finer.
Easy to use and very stable. Very good, easy-to-maintain utensil.

I am very satisfied. The delivery went really well. The slicer is a bit bigger than I imagined. But the dimensions were specified. If you want a cheese slicer, I can only recommend it. I will certainly be ordering from Micasa again. Everything is tip top.
Unfortunately, I have still not received the cheese slicer after three weeks of waiting. So, to my regret, I am also unable to give a rating for the product. I find it difficult that I only received an uninformative standard e-mail in response to my e-mail inquiry as to why the delivery did not take place as announced.
If you need a good cheese slicer, this is the right appliance for you.
