How can it be that a machine can no longer be repaired in this day and age? In most cases, it is "only" a question of money.
I and many others would be grateful if Icelandic moss tablets were back on the Migros shelves.
For me, the Sanactiv variants are not an alternative either.
The machine is 62 years old, so spare parts are no longer available... in addition, Hunziker AG has changed its production and no longer produces everything (like the Bonherba tea)...
In the end, the product was probably not of great importance to the company... why would they build a new machine just for the Icelandic moss... (although only Migros buys it)
For me, Iceland moss is the main reason why Migros is where it is.
At other retailers, such products are thrown out and that's that... here there is extreme agitation against Migros in some cases because, as here, Migros can't help it.
And there, the other retailers can change their product ranges and customers have to put up with it (since only Migros has a review portal, the other retailers don't care)
Migros complains that it contains palm oil, if it is taken out, there is a fuss about why the texture has changed. Migros is criticized for having so much sugar in its yoghurt. Then it's reduced and there's a huge drama on Migipedia about why the dessert now tastes different...
And the list could go on like this...
Migros has said here that the machine can no longer be repaired and they are looking for a new supplier...

Why are these helpful pastilles no longer available?
Hello Gemütlichkeit, thank you very much for your request. How nice that the pastilles have been of use to you! Unfortunately, we can no longer produce the classics in our range because the machine has suffered irreparable damage. We are currently looking for an alternative producer. This may take a while, which is why we recommend the Sanactiv variants in the meantime. We hope these lines are informative for you and hope you enjoy trying them out. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Have you really taken the product out of the range?
Hello @Migros? No answer to this question?
Hello Dragonball, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we can no longer offer this item. The specialist department has informed us that the manufacturer's machine has broken down after 66 years. A repair is no longer possible. We are therefore unfortunately no longer able to produce these classic sweets.
We are currently looking for an alternative supplier. This may take some time. To maintain normal mucous membranes in the throat and pharynx, we recommend the alternative Sanactiv product Icelandic moss lozenges from the Home Pharmacy section: https://www.migros.ch/en/product/511884400000. How much of these are you allowed to eat per day?
Hello NüsslisalatEule, thank you for your inquiry. Our clarifications took a long time. We apologize for the late response. The Iceland moss tablets are a medicinal product that does not have any specifications regarding a daily ration. As the products consist to a large extent of sugar, we are guided by the guidelines used for confectionery. Based on these values, we assume a daily ration of 25 grams. We hope this information is helpful for you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Are the tablets vegan? Is the gelling agent gum arabic or both? Thanks in advance for the information.
Hello Lulu8052, thank you for your inquiry. We are happy to confirm that the products are not vegan. Both porcine gelatine and gum arabic are used in the production process. We hope these lines are informative for you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Are the tablets no longer available? All the migros stores in my area no longer stock the product. That would be a shame. They always helped.
Hello Sunnylein, thank you for your question. Good news: We are not taking the delicious "Zältli" out of our range! Let us know where you shop and we'll be happy to check availability for you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Migros Stücki. Lg
Hello Sunnylein, thank you for your question. This product is not available at Migros Stücki. But you can find it in the nearby Migros Efringer or Mülhauser. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Dear Migros, but the tablets were always available at Migros Stücki. And it's not very ecological if I have to make such detours to get them. Lg
It's great that they're still around. You can buy 5 cans at once and it will last for the next few years and your carbon footprint will be balanced again! 🙂

I looked for the instant tea in three stores in my area. Is the tea no longer available? That would be a shame...
Hello stadlerdiana, thank you for your post. We still have the tablets in our range. You can check availability in your area via this link: https://produkte.migros.ch/islaendisch-moos-tabletten Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Do you really need gelatine in there? Surely gum arabic should be sufficient, especially as the texture has no elasticity whatsoever? Or what function does the gelatine fulfill in this product?
Hello lasc0001, thank you for your comment. The use of gelatine is necessary for technological reasons. The product cannot be manufactured in this form without gelatine. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
