I agree with Herzmensch's question. The recipe has certainly changed. The braids have lost a lot of their quality. In the eighties and nineties, the ingredients for Terra Suisse Butterzopf consisted of flour, yeast, butter, milk, eggs, salt and sugar.
What are glycerine, guar gum (which causes flatulence) and water doing in a plait dough now?
