I have already suggested elsewhere that more foreign specialties - especially US cult products - should be offered, and this is now the case here. But why so expensive? Even if I, as an end consumer, were to buy a corresponding item directly in the USA and pay the shipping costs, it would still be cheaper! And Migros can profit from wholesaler prices.

In the "LeShop" the product costs 30 centimes more, then Sfr. 4.50, the same as at "Passion4Food" http://www.comanagement.ch/Produits/Friandises/Poppycock/#.
Plus the shipping costs.
At the $ price, they should be delivered free of charge! :->
In Istanbul, my second domicile, which I visit every month, I buy my favorite products from "Ülker". With or without customs clearance, I still make a profit compared to buying in Switzerland.

Thank you for your comment - we are of course pleased that you like Poppycock. The reason for the price of CHF 4.20 is the real butter used to make it. When imported into Switzerland, this naturally incurs corresponding customs costs, which are unavoidable.
