Hi YinYan, thanks for your post. The ingredient mentioned Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer does not form particles, it is a synthetic polymer. The environmental impact of synthetic polymers in cosmetics is now fairly well researched. The manufacturers of these synthetic polymers have investigated their biodegradability and their fate in sewage treatment plants. The result: unlike microplastic particles, which are not biodegradable, synthetic polymers are biodegraded and/or removed from the water with the sewage sludge.
