In my opinion, dimethicone (silicone) should not be applied to the skin. It is environmentally problematic as silicone does not degrade and accumulates over time. There are guaranteed alternatives that actually nourish the skin instead of "packing it in". I throw away my 80% full bottle because I don't want it on my skin anymore.

Hello critical connoisseurs, the I Am Body Lotion Hydratante contains approx. 1% dimethicone, which is not harmful to the skin. Dimethicone is indeed not biodegradable as a pure substance. However, it is physically degraded by other means (e.g. erosion and sunlight) and does not accumulate in the environment. We use the small amount of dimethicone in the I Am Body Lotion Hydratante to adjust the consistency and feel of the cream on the skin as beautifully as possible. The skin is not "nourished" from the outside anyway, but through the nutrients supplied by the blood from within. The substances applied to the skin in creams have the task of protecting the skin and maintaining its moisture content. Alternatively, we recommend the I Am Natural products. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
