I find this mask very good, the skin feels velvety soft afterwards. But what I don't understand is why there is microplastic (C10-30, Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer) in this product? Other face masks also manage without plastic...
Hi YinYan, thanks for your post. The ingredient mentioned Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer does not form particles, it is a synthetic polymer. The environmental impact of synthetic polymers in cosmetics is now fairly well researched. The manufacturers of these synthetic polymers have investigated their biodegradability and their fate in sewage treatment plants. The result: unlike microplastic particles, which are not biodegradable, synthetic polymers are biodegraded and/or removed from the water with the sewage sludge. This means that synthetic polymers do not accumulate in the environment like microplastics and do not pose an environmental problem. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
