I've already been to various stores looking for a hair tint - but to no avail. The staff always pointed me towards these from I am. But these packs contain a colorant! Whenever you have to mix 2 components, it's like coloring. A pure tint is just a tube that you can apply directly to your hair. Dear Migros, I am a big fan and loyal customer of yours but please tell me why there are no hair tints? Thank you for your answer.
Hello Tigbib
Thank you for your inquiry. It's great that you are our customer!
The term "tint" can be a little misleading in some circumstances. There are non-oxidative and oxidative tints. It is better to use the terms level 1, 2 or 3.
Level 1 is an oxidation-free tint. It is usually offered as a foam or liquid and is ready to use, so does not need to be mixed before use. This version is not currently available in the I am range. When tinting, the direct-drawing dyes, which penetrate only slightly into the outer cuticle layers, are responsible for the new color effect. These dyes and the original hair color together create the new shade. As the dyes only penetrate the hair slightly, they can be washed out again gradually. This can take three to eight washes.
Level 2 is a slightly oxidative tint with a minimal amount of oxidation. This product contains 2 components in the pack, which must be mixed before use. The natural pigmentation of the hair is not affected and is fully retained. Intensive tints (soft colorations) therefore only complement the natural hair color - they cannot permanently change the color of the hair. The "tint" washes out gradually. Depending on the hair structure, this can take around 20 washes. This means that the color stays in the hair for a relatively long time and there is no need to re-dye, as the cosmetic shade approaches the original natural shade over time. It is therefore by no means possible to speak of a "coloration" here.
Level 3 is an oxidative coloration, only it can change the color of the hair, make it lighter and safely overcolor the white hair - the oxidation percentage is between 6% and 9% - depending on the color. During the coloration process, the color precursors penetrate directly into the hair and thus change the hair color. This cannot be reversed by normal hair washes.
We hope this helps you and wish you all the best.
