For various reasons, I deliberately bought these truffles as a gift. Opening the package revealed several egg-shaped (instead of round) truffles. The enclosed note from Chocolat Frey says: "We guarantee that this product has been manufactured with the utmost care in accordance with our high quality standards. However, if there is anything wrong with the contents, please send us an e-mail." The reply to my email was disappointing, so the effort of an email and the paper insert can be saved in future. Do you still have the best-before date and lot number of the pack in question? With this information we can trace the production. Nonetheless, we informed the supplier of your findings, who once again sensitized his employees on the production line to sort out the unsightly truffles. Could the ball be made thinner? Then the milk chocolate would mask the fine aroma of the marc filling less.

Why do they also contain maraschino and cognac?
To refine the taste!?, is at the very end of the list of ingredients before humectants, cognac even behind it, so must be present very minimally.

When I saw this product in the test package, my stomach rejoiced. The festive and elegantly designed packaging only bodes well. However, when I bit into one of the truffles with relish, I realized that the alcohol had already evaporated and the couverture had become hard. Then I saw the expiration date and realized that the truffles had already expired while the package was still in transit. However, I know that these truffles otherwise taste tempting...
