We enjoy chocolate and especially bars with nuts and tourist from Frey.
Recently we have noticed that the recipe is no longer the same and that it has changed from an absolute top product to a lower mid-range product.
Is this related to the price of cocoa and scarcity?
I am happy to pay a little more for really good products.
So we will be switching to chocolate from Lindth & Sprüngli and Läderach, as the current taste can no longer keep up and is similar to Arni chocolate, which we can easily do without. What a pity
Hello kosi65, thank you for your message. We will be happy to look into your report. Can you please describe in more detail what changes you have noticed?
In order to best investigate your concern, we also need the best-before date and the batch/lot number of the affected pack. You will normally find the batch/lot number next to the best-before date. This usually begins with the letter L or consists of a combination of letters and numbers.
Thank you in advance for your help! Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Hello
Thank you for your reply. My wife and I do not think that the chocolate is bad, but that the recipe has been changed. The taste, the characteristic "aroma" and sweetness was very close to Lindth & Sprüngli before and now it is more comparable to a "cheap" chocolate like the one from Coop or from Germany/Austria.
We are aware that the raw materials come from natural sources and that they are not always the same, but we think that the weight proportions have been changed, because until now the products have been the same for years.
We are both connoisseurs who eat carefully and with moderation and my wife also worked at Nestle for several years as a sensory analyst.
Thank you for your efforts
Best regards
Hello kosi65, thank you for taking the time to tell us in such detail what you think of our chocolate. It's a shame to hear that the bars are no longer completely convincing. Our chocolate delights many customers, but we also know that tastes are individual. Our own industry tells us that the recipe has not changed, but natural variations in the raw materials can cause slight differences in taste. Our trained employees carry out regular sensory checks to ensure high quality - there were no deviations in the batch in question. Your feedback helps us to further develop our products - thank you and see you soon in your Migros. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I like chocolate, especially the Tourist from the Migros shelf.
But this packaging! I understand that aluminum foil should no longer be used for environmental reasons, and that plastic foil (even that word...) is probably cheaper to produce.
What's the best way to open the chocolate?
By the time I get my hands on this little tear-off shred, half the chocolate is already broken. And when I then tear open the "bag", I can take out the first row, but the rest of the chocolate gets stuck and the crumbs always end up on the fresh white T-shirt...
Wouldn't it be possible to attach a "tear strip" that divides the foil on at least two sides (one narrow side and one long side) so that the bar can be removed easily?
On the other hand, this packaging is a blessing for my figure...
Hello schnaepf1
Thank you very much for your valuable feedback.
The inner packaging of the Tourist chocolate bars is the usual plastic film. This can be opened very easily by tearing it open on the long side between the prepared prongs. The switch to plastic foil was made over 10 years ago, as the product is better protected (for example, from pests that could get into the bar from the outside). In addition, the environmental impact of aluminum packaging is higher than that of this plastic packaging. Migros has been committed to sustainable packaging for decades.
We hope you will try the chocolate again and wish you a wonderful autumn day. Your M-Infoline Team
