Summarized ...

«Customers generally appreciate the taste of the Franzbrötchen, especially when fresh, highlighting its delightful cinnamon flavor and buttery texture. However, there are consistent complaints about the pastry being dry and lacking the authentic characteristics of traditional Franzbrötchen, such as stickiness and filling. Some also find it too calorie-dense for regular consumption.»

If you get a fresh batch, the Franzbrötchen is very, very tasty, wonderfully cinnamony, freshly buttery and delicious to bite into. Unfortunately, I wasn't so lucky with my second and third purchases - the Franzbrötchen were then dry and difficult to chew. If the quality was consistently good, as it was with my first purchase, then it would be an excellent product.

The cinnamon flavor is a nice surprise. The rest is far too dry and oversweet.

Not nearly worthy of the Hamburg Franzbrötchen

The Franzbrötchen that Migros sells are worlds apart from the Franzbrötchen from Germany. They have to be sticky, taste of cinnamon and have no filling. Your version tastes like a buttery pastry in the shape of a Franzbrötchen. A total failure for me. I'd rather bake them myself again.
