Dear Migros, you always bring cool new products to the market. As with MB sunflower oil, it's stupid if you live in an area where there are only 1 M stores. The following week, for example, there are many items that are only available in larger 2MM and 3MM stores. So you're the "dork" because you don't live near a large Migros. So you don't have to be surprised when people go to Coop or Germany...

It will not be possible to offer all new products in the smaller stores. What I don't understand, however, is why a wider range is not offered there, even though the space is available. Instead, items are placed in large quantities in several rows just to fill the space. I started a discussion about this some time ago (the one about the bacon, some of you will remember).

I understand that Migros can't offer everything in small Migros stores, but they shouldn't be advertised in the Migros newspaper. Not everyone has a Migros app and can therefore look up which Migros stores carry them. In my Migros store, for example, there is only 1 type of gluten-free pasta, the next 2MM store 30min away...should you only eat one type if you could offer the full range and the space was available. I know your Bratspreck situation and agree with you....

I would finally like a plausible answer from Migros as to why there have to be 10 rows of the same product in a small store. There would be room for other/new items if the space wasn't wasted like this. So @Migros, we'll wait.

Maybe because Mercadona Spain did it this way, so they could massively reduce the prices. They massively shortened the selection of products, and thus were able to massively reduce the prices... I'm looking forward to it

They will never admit it, but the reason is probably that the cost of merchandise management should not exceed a certain ratio to the store's turnover. At least I can't imagine any other reason. So why not smaller stores? Apart from the fact that a broader product range would probably result in more purchases, if only because the store would become more attractive.

Yes, unfortunately there is hardly any selection of gluten-free products in the small Migros stores, so if you have a coop nearby I would go there to have a look.

Sure, and I understand that. What I can't understand is that a small branch near me has 40 pans, 100 socks... and then you sometimes don't get certain foods and novelties are certainly always available in large branches. I think the customers in a smaller Migros also want variety instead of eating the same thing all year round... Look at a Rewe/edeka of the same size and then Migros... miso paste lust? Do you only get gluten-free pretzel sticks in a 2 MM Migros? Is gluten-free pasta (except hoernli) only available in 2 MM stores? You can only get them in 2 MM stores... But I can get them everywhere in Edeka/Rewe/Coop stores of the same size. I haven't said anything about the price yet. As I've already said, they'd rather put the same variety in 10 rows instead of introducing variety...

It doesn't matter in which store I shop, the problem is nationwide. It has been addressed several times, even with pictures, but there has never been a reaction from your side. If you put 10 (!!!) rows of the same product on the shelf in a small store, then space is not the problem.

Dear Migros, Magnoliapower has still not received an answer. Personally, I don't understand it either. Why is it better not to offer more choice (when 10 rows are sometimes provided for 1 variety) in the smaller Migros stores?
