Of course, the thinner material crumples more when worn. The lack of a cut-out in the adhesive strip makes it more difficult to remove. I didn't notice any negative effect when sticking it on. I didn't realize it had been so long since I changed, but it still annoys me. I bought the supposed successor to Molfina panty liners (I think they were called Light fresh) and the glue stayed in the panties, disgusting. I haven't found a replacement yet, all the ones I've tried are less good than the previous ones.
