Migros is launching a voting beer. Members of the Cooperative will be able to decide whether to drink it with or without alcohol at the beginning of June 2022. With this article, I would like to draw the Migros community's attention to the website with all the latest information on this vote. I would also like to use this article to create a place where the possible future sale of alcoholic beverages in Migros stores can be discussed together."Oui" or "Non"?Migros is accompanying the democratic decision-making process on the possible future sale of alcoholic beverages with a campaign. The aim of the campaign is to motivate people to take part in the vote and encourage discussion. The Migros beer serves as the symbol of the campaign. Depending on the result of the vote, the supermarkets of the regional cooperatives will offer the Migros beer "Oui" with alcohol or the non-alcoholic "Non". To vote, you must be a member of one of the 10 Migros cooperatives and at least 18 years old. You can register at Migros.ch. Cooperative members will have until 4 June 2022 to vote on whether Migros should lift the ban on the sale of alcohol in Migros stores, Migros restaurants and Migros takeaways, which has been in place since 1928. The accompanying campaign will be shown throughout Switzerland. The beer serves as a symbol of Migros democracy and is intended to encourage a lively debate on whether alcoholic beverages should be sold in the more than 600 Migros stores in future.
