They were these MBudget Petit Suisse. I remember them as Quärkli, but they were made from cream cheese.
Coop also has Petit Suisse: https://www.coop.ch/de/lebensmittel/milchprodukte-eier/quark/quark-mit-geschmack/fairtrade-petit-suisse-rot-6x50g/p/6077518 These appear to be quark, made from milk and cream and not from cream cheese.
I don't really care whether it's called fresh cheese preparation or something else, it's a curd cheese as you would expect it to be, how it's stirred and whether it's bottled by moonshine doesn't matter to me😁 Just buy curd cheese somewhere else but the budget ones were the better ones, well😅
I don't care either, but there are certainly people who care whether it's made from cream cheese or milk and cream... That's why I mentioned it for the sake of completeness. That's why I mentioned it for the sake of completeness. I also buy the Quärkli elsewhere, as with all products that Migros has taken out of its range or that I don't like and that are better at the competition.
Don't get me wrong but... I'm disappointed, either they weren't Migros kids because they were such great quarkli, or they didn't make any effort to research, or they didn't really ask? So that from a whole department or responsible person(!) that nobody knew... well. I don't expect you to know everything but... It's strange that "we don't know" is often said, but customers prove it..:

I remember them too, they were great, only the youngsters in the offices don't know what's really good and the ones from the Coop aren't the same. When asked whether it was quark or cream cheese preparation, I saw it as quark.
No, I didn't mean your text, that was good to complete. I meant the fact that when you ask for quark, Migros asks "the people responsible". And if it's a cream cheese preparation (it really wasn't cream cheese, but a preparation that's exactly like quark) you have to ask another specialist department. I find that strange? I wonder if there isn't a "dairy" department and a person responsible for each product? XD
Well, those budget Quärkli from the past tasted like normal quark to me. I only realized/noticed now (when I was looking for them and saw the list of ingredients) that they are a cream cheese preparation... Yes, it's a bit strange ;-) I'd really wonder how they handle this with the product managers. But it's probably a business/company secret, so we'll never find out. But I would be interested to know whether there is a person responsible for each product/product group, or whether they simply have a "dairy" person responsible for "dairy products" (cheese, milk, quark, cream cheese, etc.).

Are there at least alternatives or are there none? Although some say that there are still some.

I would say not a chance.
Ahh thanks, thanks to all those who also say that it was just like curd cheese. I found this: Cream cheese is unripened cheese that is made by acidifying milk. Quark, cottage cheese and mascarpone are also considered cream cheese. "The list of ingredients for cream cheese is short, as only a few other ingredients are permitted." If other ingredients such as thickeners, colorants, fruit, sweetening ingredients or yoghurt are added, it is not cream cheese, but so-called "cream cheese preparations" - and these must also be declared as such - manufacturers usually state this in small print in the list of ingredients and do not write the name directly on the front of the pack.
Lol Migros confuses me now, so quark and cream cheese preparation are the same thing just spelled differently? What does a Migros manager who knows the matter say why quark and why cream cheese preparation? Many thanks😁
Hello Bodenseeknusperli, fresh cheese is defined as follows in the FDHA Ordinance on Foodstuffs of Animal Origin, Section 3: Cheese, Article 50, Alinea 1: 'Unripened cheese or fresh cheese is cheese that is ready for consumption immediately after production; this includes by name quark, mozzarella, cottage cheese, cream cheese jelly and mascarpone. Accordingly, quark belongs to the fresh cheeses. The declaration of low-fat quark can be as follows: Low-fat quark or low-fat cream cheese. For products with only one ingredient, a list of ingredients can be omitted (e.g. M-Budget low-fat quark). If non-dairy ingredients are added to the product, e.g. sugar or fruit, it is referred to as a preparation. This is why fruit quark is referred to as quark preparation with fruit in the product description. We hope this information is helpful for you? Best regards, Chloe
Um somehow it was a bit unnecessary because it's already in my text but thanks, a yes would have just icht😁 (Boah what's going on with the page navigation you can neither click on 1/2/3 nor on the arrows to scroll, always jumps to page 3. And no frederika I don't enter a code in the bar at the top for the pages, I'm on my cell phone)
You don't have to mention me specifically. I know it and those who don't know it can guess it from your mistyping 🤭
