Nothing surprises me anymore. A new branch was opened in Ostermundigen some time ago: Amaretti? Only the filled variety. Smoked trout? Not in the range. And so on... The items to be offered may be determined by lot.

This answer is neither effective nor customer-friendly. Caraway is not a lifestyle product. Caraway is simply indispensable for certain dishes! You could just as well use pepper or turmeric or any other spice. I think the M range will be streamlined in view of Alc sales. Unfortunately, Migros will then be like all cheap mass suppliers!
If Migros carries on like this, it could well be that pepper and turmeric will also disappear from the range at some point (with the same justification of too little space on the shelves, too little customer demand)... If they remove products from the drinks section, it will probably be because of the space for alcohol. But if products disappear from the spice or frozen food shelves, for example, it has nothing to do with the alcohol; the alcohol is not on the spice or frozen food shelves, but on the drinks shelves.

This is effectively no longer part of our range. We still have caraway in our range, but in the larger refill pack from Alnatura (mentioned earlier by smartcoyote). Wasn't it said a few weeks ago that organic products also have to be conventional? There are many customers who don't want to buy organic, either because of the cost or because it is simply a fraudulent label.

The problem is, you want a normal product, the next person wants an organic product, the next person wants a vegan product, the next person wants a Swiss product... Coop has removed a number of normal organic products from its range... preferably as refill packs... it's simply not possible to cover all of this...

Organic is simply not affordable for people who can't afford it and is therefore not an option (even if Coop and Migros would prefer to only use organic; it's always overpriced and sometimes just "crap", but people will believe any crap these days...). And this is about caraway! Caraway is not a luxury or exotic spice or something "strange" that hardly anyone has heard of. In my opinion, it belongs in every normal kitchen and is a standard spice à la oregano, parsley, basil etc. You can offer caraway as a normal non-organic product if you want to (but Migros won't, you can buy the overpriced one from Alnatura, it makes more sales...).
