It makes ecological sense to keep production local to avoid unnecessary transportation. Nevertheless, we make sure to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible - through optimized transport routes and efficient processes. And what is particularly important to us: 100% of the meat for our hamburgers comes from Switzerland. This sends out a clear signal for regionality and quality.

Where does it make a difference ecologically if you leave the production locally and have the product delivered as opposed to bringing the raw materials to Switzerland and producing locally? The CO2 footprint remains the same as you have to make the journey to Switzerland either way, right? Ultimately, the footprint doesn't care whether you transport the raw material or the end product...

Some of the wheat is of course waste and does not need to be transported. However, according to research, this is only around 15 to 18 percent in the production of white flour - so it is of little consequence.
