What is going on? For several weeks now, the Gen. Migros Ostschweiz has been out of oat flakes for several weeks. I always have to buy them separately at the Coop.

Hello Loxiran, thank you very much for your contribution. Unfortunately, there are currently some supply bottlenecks due to a shortage of raw materials. However, we are currently assuming that we should receive goods again around the beginning of July. Best regards, Matteo

@M-Infoline Many thanks It now seems to be a problem at Coop too, I bought the last 3 packs there. So I hope I can get through until the beginning of July.
All the oats are most likely in the port of Odessa and cannot be disembarked....
Are Swiss oats also shipped via Odessa?

Swiss oats would most likely be shipped via Birsfelden, or via Kleinhüningen. The missing foreign oats for oat milk and animal feed are probably being replaced with Swiss oats at the moment, which is why there are now no Swiss oat flakes. As Marie-Antoinette already said: if you don't have oat flakes, then eat corn flakes.
I like to buy the pack of swiss Campiuns from Coop for 1.95, they are soo delicious maybe it's something for you https://www.coop.ch/de/lebensmittel/vorraete/mueesli-cerealien/mueesli/getreideflocken/naturaplan-bio-campiuns-schweizer-haferfloeckli/p/5818171?gs=1&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=freeshopping-en&gclid=CjwKCAjwquWVBhBrEiwAt1Kmwuq768IXOTGBc3cJy4bUgXZw1zr6UMzsGDB4R80tJo2MVmscZQrrhhoClfQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Now the Flöckli are also sold out in the Coop. Besides, I can be in Migros in 3 minutes, Coop is further away, so I'm happy when I can find everything in Migros again.

Why should I eat corn flakes? That's totally different. @sw1ssdude I find this sentence "if you don't have oat flakes, then eat corn flakes." spiteful and aggressive. I just wanted to know why oat flakes are missing and nobody here has the right to diss someone because he/she likes oat flakes. I found an explanation here, apparently the weather is also to blame. "Swiss edible oats are generally scarce and became even scarcer last year due to the poor harvest caused by the weather." https://www.bauernzeitung.ch/artikel/pflanzen/fertig-schweizer-hafermueesli-428007

The saying comes from Marie-Antoinette, the Queen of France. When the hungry population outside the palace asked for bread, she said that those who had no bread should simply eat cake. (or brioche in French, i.e. very elaborate sweet bread). (Shortly afterwards, Marie-Antoinette lost her head on the guillotine.) In other words, if there are no Haberflöckli, other Flöckli will have to do. after all, like Marie-Antoinette, we still have everything in abundance here. Which is not necessarily the case for many people in the coming months.

@Sw1ssdude Sorry, we don't have political discussions here. And heads won't roll here either. It's a simple question about a product. Please keep to netiquette!

Hi Sw1ssdude A legitimate question was asked about the availability of a product. Your subjective comments do not contribute constructively to the discussion and have no relevant reference to Migros. I would ask you to respect the rules of the game (especially points 5 and 11). Many thanks & best regards, Marc
