I wish I had Délica pumpkins in the Migros vegetable section all year round. In Italy you can buy this delicacy all year round, mostly from Italy, sometimes from South Africa. This type of pumpkin tastes like chestnuts, nutty, only slightly sweet and has a floury consistency, like a highly aromatic mixture of sweet potatoes, chestnuts and floury potatoes. I love them and am addicted, currently looking for the best sources (cucurbita, mettiteloinzucca, agricola_doncamillo show on Instagram the extraordinary consistency, the beautiful color and the variety of preparation). Unfortunately, however, purchasing as a private individual is anything but easy thanks to customs regulations and the like... Why doesn't Migros simply offer good quality pumpkins like Délica to all Migros customers all year round? In this country, I can't even find the well-known Hokkaido all year round and during the pumpkin season I was often very disappointed by the bland pumpkins :-/. Seasonality is good, but I don't think I'm alone with my pumpkin preference, especially as these vegetables are also very well tolerated by small children, people with irritable bowel syndrome and older people. Bananas, avocado, broccoli, zucchinis, peppers, beans, sometimes even melons... can also be found all year round. In any case, I would be delighted if Migros would look at this pumpkin/Délica issue and expand the availability of good quality pumpkins in future. Many thanks and best wishes, "Twilight"
