My Greek olive oil is coming to an end and I wanted to order a new one. What do I read? 11.95 for 5dl of olive oil? A liter costs almost 24? What's going on? A short time ago it was 7Fr or am I wrong? I can't afford it any more, what a shame for the good oil.

That's right, this rapeseed oil is really good, I can also recommend it as an alternative to the now expensive olive oil.
Thanks smartcoyote for the link. Although that would be Migros' job. But they prefer to claim that they are not responsible for Migros online products, even though they offer them on the shelves. I absolutely agree with you. For a few weeks now, there have been no answers to many questions and when there are, the answers seem downright annoyed.

This rapeseed oil is good, I have it too, but - at least in my kitchen - it doesn't do the same job as olive oil. As dragonboll (or similar) already linked two weeks ago, it has been known since the end of 2023 that olive oil prices are rising and will probably remain high and why. This time it's neither Migros nor Aldi & Co. so until the Swedes - or do the English still have so much rain? Then the - plant olive trees, plus 3-4 or even 7 years until the first harvest, we will probably have to pay more for the delicious good, because the climate is also only developing in one direction.

You're right, of course. Olive oil is a scarce commodity and therefore more expensive. The simple fact is that I just don't want to afford this oil any more. A liter for 24, that's my pain threshold. I already thought it was expensive before. We are a household of 5 people who all eat like adults. So we have high food costs, even though I do a lot of things myself. Then there's the health insurance, you know the drill🥴. Everything has become more expensive. I wouldn't describe myself as poor, but this olive oil (and other everyday products) is no longer worth it to me.

I understand, I wouldn't buy my olive oil at that price either, should it arrive there. I've only been buying mine on sale for a long time now.
