Until recently, the best apple sauce was available at Migros. Bottled in a jar, labeled sweet/sour. Where has that gone? I can now only find the overpriced Alnatura stuff in a jar.

Do you possibly mean this article or something similar? https://www.srf.ch/sendungen/kassensturz-espresso/themen/konsum/migros-gibt-sich-mit-alnatura-gruener-als-gruen I don't know whether Swiss apples in applesauce under M-Classic aren't somehow more sensible to buy instead of apples from abroad, where the organic aspect is also a bit meagre. Well. Apparently you need the X-Alnatura varieties. Margin or something.

Alnatura is only a retailer with relatively good marketing. Migros has invested indirectly in Alnatura (tegut takeover in Hesse, Germany). It was a mistake and now they have to create sales at Alnatura so that the mistake is less noticeable. All at the expense of CH products and consumers.
And at the expense of many good MIGROS products. But unfortunately I'm almost the only one who gets upset about it and it seems to work with sales. I don't buy any of it.

You're far from the only one, I don't buy anything from Alnatura on principle. The products are completely overpriced because they're organic, trendy and because they say Alnatura on them, so I often do my weekly shop at Aldi and Lidl 🤷🏼♀️ Migros isn't interested 🤣🤣
