More and more weekly promotions are being offered where I have to buy multiple packs (from 2, from 3, from 4). That annoys me. We are a two-person household and I want to be able to benefit from promotions without having to buy months' worth of supplies.

Hello rolimuehlheim, we can well understand your concern. We try to keep our promotions as balanced as possible and alternate between multiple or bulk packs and promotions on individual items. The promotions on large packs are usually for food that can be stored for longer or is easy to freeze. We value all customer groups and want everyone to be able to benefit from good offers that meet their needs. Best regards, Angela

Nevertheless, it should be noted that multi-pack promotions are getting bigger and bigger. There used to be 2-pack promotions for many foods. Then it was increased to 3-packs and now there are already 4-packs (e.g. recently with canned pulses). In the past, there were also often mixed promotional packs, e.g. with biscuits. Today, you have to take packs of 3 of one type, but if you want variety, you need 6 or 9 packs. In general, customers who appreciate smaller quantities in mixed form are at a clear disadvantage. The best example of this is the regular Créa-d'Or biscuit single pack promotions. All packs are reduced by the same amount (usually 60 centimes), the cheap ones just as much as the expensive ones. And the expensive ones are the mixes that are so practical for individual households because you have many types of biscuits in one pack. It will always remain a mystery to me why they don't simply give 20% off everything, as they do with most other promotions.

The reason why we don't discount e.g. 20 %, but e.g. 60 centimes, is as follows. We have compared the promotions with percentage and absolute discounts for biscuits and found that the absolute discounts are better received. And because this is such a great advantage with the "more comprehensible communication", they only do this with biscuits, whereas percentage promotions are no problem for almost all other product groups? Once again, I ask myself how stupid they think customers are... *shakes head* Although: Yes, I understand: mental arithmetic is too much for today's brain prosthesis wearers (i.e. those who require a corresponding holder on their shopping trolley). So immediately change all actions from percentages to fixed amounts! In future, customers will no longer be interested in how much they save as a percentage. This calculation requires a little more mathematical skill than the other way around.
