I think it would be great if Migros could offer canned jackfruit (pickled in salt water or its own juice) in larger stores.
Jackfruit can be used as a great substitute meat (pulled pork, tortillia filling etc.). That would certainly find a market?

However, we are always interested in introducing new products, so we don't want to rule it out in principle.

Jackfruit is coming slowly! I see it more and more often in forums and in videos on social media. Veganism is going to be the biggest (food) trend of 2018, so jackfruit is on its way :D

I've known young jackfruit from Asian restaurants for years. It's funny how ordinary products from the Far East become new hypes (tofu, seitan, soy milk, nut milk, agar-agar...).
Unfortunately, most of them are not necessarily environmentally friendly; long transportation routes, not seasonal or regional.
I would like to see regional products, such as lupins or seitan, promoted more instead of exotic ones.
