I think it would be great if Migros could offer canned jackfruit (pickled in salt water or its own juice) in larger stores.
Jackfruit can be used as a great substitute meat (pulled pork, tortillia filling etc.). That would certainly find a market?

Hello @migrosbaby
My colleague told me that we already have products with seitan in our range, such as the Alnatura salami or the Cornatur Fondue Chinoisen platter we had for Christmas, which also contained seitan. Something is happening! If you have any further questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards

That was me :-)
I know that certain Cornatur products are made from seitan.
I would just like to see plant-based alternatives being offered hand in hand with regionality, and not every trend being followed (e.g. superfoods from overseas) - in the end, that's not necessarily environmentally friendly either. And jackfruit (exotic fruit, long transport route) in a can (aluminum goes hand in hand with a huge demand for resources due to land degradation) is not necessarily, in my opinion, the first choice when it comes to plant-based "substitutes".
Lupins, a durable, regional and nutrient-rich sweet grass is full of potential - Migros would be happy to exploit this :-)
Hello@Bodenseeknusperli
I also like lupins as a flower, but a group of our fellow citizens could have problems with them.
Lupins and lupin products are included in the group of allergens subject to mandatory labeling and must be highlighted in the list of ingredients (e.g. in bold print).

Hello everyone
Thank you very much for sharing all your ideas here. I'm also a big fan of lupins, in some countries (e.g. Turkey, Italy) it's a tradition at Christmas to enjoy them as a snack, so I'll pass on all these tips and ideas to the product managers, and I'll be happy to let you know as soon as something more concrete is planned. It's definitely a product that can be used to create lots of exciting new powerfood items, and yes, we always have to take allergy information into account when planning such product launches.
Have a great Thursday, everyone.
Best regards

There are allergy sufferers for many things - for some it's gluten, for others nuts, seeds, celery, flavorings, milk protein or sugar...
It doesn't bring any added value for those affected, but it is interesting for other consumers, producers, retailers and the environment :)
Is there jackfruit in the meantime?
Hello indios, thank you for your question. I am pleased to inform you that we will be offering the product "V-Love Jackfruit, article number 1572.131" from the beginning of February. I hope this appeals to you. Best regards, Luisa

Nice, but why the name V-Love? Does everything meatless, including fruit, have to be called that now?
