Update 18: Sort ratings - Likes are now helpful

Update 18: Bewertungen sortieren – Likes sind jetzt hilfreich

Have you seen it - product ratings can now be sorted. On a smartphone, you will find the sorting function between the input field for your own rating and the existing ratings. On a larger screen, such as a laptop, the function is in the same place, but on the far right. Admittedly, the function is not yet too noticeable, but we are convinced that sorting reviews will create even more transparency for you. Until now, the most recent product review was simply displayed first. But are you always most interested in the most recent review? Hardly. That's why you can now sort product reviews according to the following criteria: - newest review - oldest review - best review - worst review - most helpful reviewLikes are now helpfulWhat does a Like mean for a product review? Does a Like mean that you agree with the review or that you find the way the review is written amusing? We would like to provide more clarity here too, especially with regard to the sorting mentioned above. We have therefore decided to rename the Like button to "helpful". Every Like that was previously given to a product review now means that the review is helpful. This also applies to the Migipedia forum. Of course, this may not always have been the exact intention of the person who gave the Like. But looking to the future, we are sure that the renaming in conjunction with the sorting offers advantages. Do you agree? Would you rather click on "helpful" than give a (link) LIKE? I am curious. Have fun sorting and discovering what others think about our products. best regards Philipp

Good morning dear community Why does Migipedia say "helpful" and other Migros websites (produkte.migros.ch, melectronics.ch, migusto.migros.ch) say "Like"? The Migros community is not just on Migipedia. There are currently community functions on 13 different digital Migros platforms, including the Migros app. Let me give you an example: rating a product on Migipedia.ch or Micasa.ch is technically exactly the same. Everything is stored centrally in the background. But only in the background. Each platform is responsible for what happens in the so-called front end - i.e. what you see. Basically, this means that "helpful" is the most up-to-date implementation and the other platforms could follow suit if the opportunity arises. Migipedia is and has always been the place where we provide community functions first. This is where we can try things out and observe them before they become more widespread. These innovations can be loved or hated. At Migipedia.ch, my team and I have the opportunity to implement certain functionalities relatively quickly and put them "live". This freedom is fundamental! It's the only way we can continue to develop and improve. I wish you a pleasant day. Philipp

Hi Philipp I think it's good that you can click on Migipedia to say that you find an article "helpful". But like some others, I think that "Helpful" is not the same as "Like". In an earlier version of Migipedia, there was both the thumbs-up and the thumbs-down. This allowed you to express "Agree/Disagree" and "Disagree/Disagree" - or even "Like" or "Don't like". Unfortunately, you have abolished these options - in my opinion, the thumbs-down were just as important as the agreement. A "Not helpful", on the other hand, would not be necessary; you have the option to ask questions or formulate why you don't find something helpful. But back to your original post. Take a look at the last line of your text. It says: "Would you rather click on "helpful" than give a link?" You meant like, not link...? ? best regards AlMiDeCoLi

Hello AlMiDeCoLi Thank you for your comment. Correct. A typo on my part. It should be LIKE. I have taken the liberty of correcting it. best regards Philipp

Hello Philipp Thank you for your explanations. That's how I've understood the functionality so far. It certainly makes sense that new functionalities are initially only activated on Migipedia. But that wasn't my point at all. It's not about functionalities. It's about collecting "helpful" comments on Migipedia and "likes" on the other platforms, and throwing them into the same pot in the background. If sportXX started a poll on "Are red hiking socks better than blue ones?" and migusto started one on "Do you like the new chocolate cake?" at the same time, you (presumably) wouldn't throw the yes votes from the two polls into the same pot either...

Hello everyone I bow to your words. Migipedia was "helpful" for just 15 days 😉. From now on, the function is called "Like" again. Perhaps we weren't sensitive enough when we renamed the function. Of course, the two terms don't mean the same thing. In one context, "Helpful" might be more valuable, in another a "Like". What the heck, now it's just "Like" again and Migipedia is as it was as far as this point is concerned. We'll leave the discussions about "Helpful" and "Like" for the moment. And before voices are raised - no, we are not currently planning to offer "Like" and "Helpful". Even if sometimes one and sometimes the other button would fit better. And now the final question: will you, on behalf of the whole Migipedia team, give me a Like for this? 😉 See you soon Philipp

Also from me a thank you for that and a klina tip,p instead of "Like" in English it could also be "Gefällt mir" in German.

it could also be in German and "Gefällt mir"Ui no, that's too much work. Imagine having to change that on the French- and Italian-language Migipedia too. With this excuse, almost everything at Migros is now in English, especially the product names. Because nobody in Switzerland wants to learn a second or even third national language, my beloved Dragées are now called "Kotzies" or something similar... https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/101300300000
