Even the staff don't always enjoy the fact that there are discounts, which is great, but does it make sense to overwhelm the customers with so many coupons and x-fold Cumulus? the Cumulus card can only be read by the terminals, so the blue vouchers, 2x, 5x, 10x and 2x till vouchers should be stored in the account.
How should I tell the system that I want to use the 2x and 5x vouchers when shopping, but keep the blue vouchers? I can't, because the system would automatically deduct them as it doesn't know what I want.
Let's take one of my last purchases as an example. In addition to the cash card, I had Blue Vouchers worth CHF 220, a Facebook Aare voucher worth CHF 10 per CHF 80 purchase, a 5x Cumulus and a 2x Cumulus till voucher.
At Do It Garden I bought flowers for SFr. 82, which I paid for with 4 vouchers and the Cashcard.
At Migros I made the purchase of Sfr. 224 at the payment station. First I scanned the Aare voucher, then the 5x and 2x vouchers and paid with the Cashcard.
If the receipts had been stored on the system, I would have had to visit Migros first and then the Do It Garden and what would have happened then? The system would have debited the SFr 220 receipt and the remaining SFr 4 would have been valued at 2x and 5x. Not interesting. I would have had to hand in the Aare voucher manually either way.

The 2x and 5x vouchers could be omitted and x-fold points for the average purchase amount could be added to the monthly statement.
For vouchers that are for a specific product, the points could be stored with the product (e.g. for the Twisty box or other new products).
I know that the whole system is not easy.

I also have the feeling that I'm just checking receipts! I'll soon have to make a checklist of which receipt, from which date, for which product! Then I have a stressful time at the checkout! Sometimes it feels really good when I've thought of everything, redeemed a lot and saved a lot! But if I forget or lose the receipt, I get frustrated! Then I think, how can it be that we are so controlled and steered by these things! Why do I allow this! It would be nice if the products simply had a special offer price! Or just go back to the old system with the sales discount! Or simply a 10% voucher per two months which can be redeemed in two months!
This discussion reminds me of my suggestion with the Payback card, where the vouchers could be topped up directly.

I think this approach would be the most effective. The promotions and Cumulus stories would perhaps have to be adapted, but that's certainly not rocket science.
