Xylitol or birch sugar

Xylit oder Birkenzucker

Good morning

Aldi has it, as does Coop, and more and more online stores are selling it. Even the dentist sells it. I'm talking about birch sugar or xylitol.

Xylitol is a sugar which, unlike normal sugar, is good for the teeth and can inhibit caries bacteria (I even rinse my mouth with it after brushing my teeth and my teeth are nice and white). It also doesn't require insulin, so it may also be suitable for diabetics.

It looks like normal sugar and tastes exactly the same. There is no aftertaste like with stevia. At the beginning you can react with flatulence if you eat large quantities, but it goes away quickly.

I and many others would like this sugar and Migros should therefore also offer it.

Best wishes and have a nice weekend

Hello @Bascolo, thank you very much for your patience. The responsible specialist department has informed me that there are currently no plans to introduce birch sugar and xylitol. We will of course be happy to take your input on board and we will review this again at a later date and implement it if necessary. Best regards, Richi

It's sad that Migros is missing out on a trend

Don't wake sleeping dogs. You've already slept through a lot. In Aldi and Lidl there are.

Hello @anteractive

We are aware of the trend and are constantly reviewing it, but we can't promise you anything yet.

Our shelf space is limited, so a new launch would also result in the discontinuation of an existing product. That's why we always consider this very carefully.

Kind regards

Tamara

Since the topic here is xylitol...

This one dental care chewing gum has 100% XYLIT !
Others have added sweeteners are 100% xylitol.

This one:
Candida Dental Gum Fresh Classic

So if you're looking for something when you can't brush your teeth... It does what it's supposed to do, significantly reduce caries bacteria. At least that's how it feels. Since we've been using it and toothpaste containing only xylitol, our teeth have been tip-top.
Dental care and the dentist have a lot less work :-)))

Erithritol is better

Dear Migros, you are simply not up to date. In Germany, it's probably difficult to find a store that doesn't have xylitol and erythritol in its standard range alongside sugar. Unfortunately, it's like with Léger products... Customer wishes are obviously ignored.
