Dear Migros, I was horrified to discover today that Migros has removed the Farmer Choco Flakes from its range!!!! Why? I am really very disappointed!!! :-(((

In comparative tests, Alnatura has repeatedly come off worse than other labels (NDR, ZDF, Stiftung Warentest, etc.) for years.

Yes, of course only compared to other German labels. The Swiss organic labels probably have little to no presence in Germany; Migros organic products are offered in Tegut stores (Hesse, Thuringia, Bavaria, as well as Göttingen, Mainz and Stuttgart).
In the course of negotiations on the franchise agreement with Alnatura, GMZ learned that Tegut (founded in 1947 by Theo Gutberlet - hence the name TeGut) was looking for a new owner. Tegut, which primarily operates in the organic segment, has been part of GMZ since January 2013. The aim was to drive expansion, particularly in southern Germany, by submitting a takeover bid for some branches in southern Bavaria of the Kaisers-Tegelmann chain, which had gone into liquidation, but this failed as EDEKA won the bid. But they don't want to bring Tegut to Switzerland, which I think is a shame; Tegut apparently has great own-brand products on offer.
