I have already "applied" several times to test and evaluate products free of charge. Unfortunately, I have never been selected for this yet. How is it actually decided who can/can test? Based on the Cumulus card/turnover that you bring to Migros? Based on how many posts you make here in the forum?

The product tests are definitely not random. I also received products regularly for a while and you can tell from the reviews that this is still the case with some users. Now I haven't received anything for about 2 years.

Note: a small mistake has crept in, it should certainly be "principio casuale" (principle of chance) and not "principio causale" (causal principle).
To be honest, I don't think that happens by chance either... A colleague of mine has been doing this for about half a year and he keeps getting something sent to him when he applies for Migipedia > Testing. I don't know his turnover with the Cumulus card at Migros, but he told me today that he's noticed that if his comments are negative or rather negative, it takes longer for him to receive something to test again. It's all a bit vague for me... I'm probably not being considered because I wrote in the forum that I didn't like Costa's frozen paella (Pelican's was the best)?
I would find it helpful if you were given a few hints before registering as to which criteria you could evaluate for this product (appearance, how it tastes, comprehensibility of the instructions for use/preparation, whether it fulfills its purpose well, price-performance ratio...).
Exactly!!!! Migros is stepping back, big time! I don't get anything either, I'm too angry and too honest.
I think that if Migros already offers this option (product tests), then they should be fair enough to accept negative/bad product reviews (and not punish those testers who don't like the products or only send products to testers who simply rate everything positively/good just to continue receiving free products to test). The point of product reviews is that people who are still undecided as to whether they want to buy the product can find out about it beforehand (provided the product reviews are helpful). If Migros doesn't like this (tastes are different, people have different ideas about quality, etc.), then they should simply abolish the product tests or leave them alone and deactivate the rating function for the individual products. To be honest, I'm now considering whether I should simply write a super positive review for all the products I've bought from Migros so far (regardless of whether the products were good or bad). Just as a test, to see if I suddenly receive products to test...

I've been able to test a few things, but haven't received anything for a while!
I don't think it's based on sales, I buy almost everything in Migros.
But with so many participants, it's pure luck if you're lucky.

Before the big conspiracy theories are brought out here, I'll try to clarify things a little: the product tests here on Migipedia are extremely popular. We offer between 50-100 products per test. On average, 18,000 interested parties respond. For chocolate, the number of interested parties can easily reach 30,000. The testers themselves are drawn by lot. The products are then sent out afterwards. The draw is completely random. Cumulus data or other criteria play no role at all here. To be on the safe side, however, you should make sure that the correct postal address is noted in the Migros login https://login.migros.ch/profile.
