Hello dear Migros, what is the difference between one, two and three M Migros? And why is Migros St. Fiden a two M Migros and Migros Neumarkt a three M Migros? Thank you for clearing this up

Very briefly and certainly not everything mentioned in the answer.↵1. search option there has been such a topic before↵2. the more M the bigger the market and the choice. ↵Simplified like this. MMM are the big centers where you should be able to get everything. MM no longer has some of the everyday items and a small selection of other goods ↵clothing, toys, stationery. Either complete goods less, or only very important things that do well locally. ↵Oups but quite a long answer. 😧🤐↵Aaah forgot M has no specialty stores Melectronics, Do IT, Sport x, the MMM does and MM not all just parts.

The number of M's indicates the size and range of products. The more M's, the larger the store and the greater the selection.

I once learned from my parents, who worked at Migros for most of their lives, that it's the size and the product range that counts, as described above. And it means: M - Migros (small) MM - Migros Markt (medium) MMM - Migros Multi Markt (large)
