How do you feel when you grab a shopping cart and the whole handle is sticky or dirty?

That thought makes me feel sick!
No matter what gets stuck to the handle, I want to clean it before I use it.
How about cleaning wipes that anyone can take from a box at the Wägelipark?
Does anyone have another idea that would be easy to implement?
So before I touch the handle of the pram, I always clean it with a Linsoft wipe, of which I always have a packet in my handbag. I didn't used to do this either, but since I've had a child (6 years old) who touches everything and then puts his fingers in his mouth, I can't imagine doing it any other way. When you think about who touches these handles and what people have touched before....
I've heard that in America these wipes dispensers are practically everywhere next to the trolleys in shopping centers.
It would be really great if Migros could introduce them too.

oh, i would welcome that too, and i think thousands of other people would too. we've often discussed it with friends.
i'm also a mother and find it annoying when the children put their hands back in their mouths... but i don't always have tissues with me or until they are unpacked, so it would of course be a lot easier if you could quickly pluck a tissue from a dispenser!!!

The handles of simple shopping carts are not the only sources of dirt and infection, but also door handles and grab rails on public transport. This is where various bacteria can spread and grow even more.
At the behest of my dermatologist, I always carry a small bottle of "Sterilium", a hand sanitizer, with me or at least in my car. Before I became the happy owner of a Caddy Guard (CG), I used to use this from time to time when shopping.
The CG I bought in Germany is a silicone protective cover that is put over the shopping cart handle. After shopping, the CG is removed and stored in the car. At home, the CG can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher. The handle is dry in the rain and warm in the cold.

Once again, I can only praise the Zollikofen branch. I haven't found a dirty handle for years. It's more common for me to find a dirty basket. It's not nice, but in the end it's just indefinable dirt and not anthrax.

Washing your hands thoroughly with soapy water at home is always enough.
You have the most bacteria at home:
- Refrigerator
- Kitchen cloth/cutting board
- Dishwasher
- PC keyboard
Yesterday, Saturday, we caught another one of those "piggy banks". While we were shopping, we thought back and forth about how we could counteract this.
There ought to be a couple of mobile wagon cleaning trailers that travel around Switzerland and clean every wagon once or twice a year. They should "somehow use high-pressure steam" to ensure that the shopping carts are thoroughly cleaned of the ugly stickers and sometimes disgusting dirt. At the same time, a person could also remove the annoying pieces of string that have wrapped themselves around the wheel axles and hinder the trolleys from running straight.
Last autumn, I saw a team at the Centre Brügg who spent several days in a cordoned-off part of the parking lot near the garden center using a pressure washer to clean shopping carts and check wheels, handles, etc.

Caddy's should get a shower once again.
