I read today in the Bernerzeitung that Migros has destroyed carrier bags because of sexism. Yet another indictment of Migros. I have no idea what Mr. Duttweiler would say about the company's current philosophy. A woman at the top is bad for Migros' culture. Should we now paint over the pictures of saints in the church that depict women naked as angels, or destroy the world-famous Rubens pictures?
120,000 (!!!) carrier bags were destroyed just like that, but they still claim to be the most sustainable retailer in the world. What has become of Migros? Apparently, a few incompetent idiots are doing as they please without having to fear any consequences.

The price/performance ratio at Migros has not been right for years. Instead of improving efficiency, they are cutting the prices of Swiss suppliers or terminating contracts so that they can conclude new, cheaper contracts abroad. At the same time, Migros (or rather the Migros management) is burning money without end with high management salaries and the kind of actions you are reporting on here. Migros also invests very large sums in shopping centers (e.g. Bern Brünnen Westside). Well, the customer has everything in their own hands. They have to realize that they are paying for such campaigns, magnificent buildings and overpaid management with every Migros product they buy. That's why I now prefer the highly efficient competitors who sell good quality at a good price in simple stores. I don't want to pay for idle space and ostentatious buildings...

Hello, If Migros had let its owners vote on the design, as has been the case several times, see https://migipedia.migros.ch/de/abstimmen, it would have been off the hook in any case, whatever the decision (with the option "against" if only one style is offered).

I think so too, but there is often enough voting. Or customers draw motifs... There are nicer things. Naked woman together with this cat is just very strange art and apparently not many people like it. But you could have put them all over instead of throwing them away? Screen printing and good or artistic, individual motifs? Anyone who likes it in Migros Zurich, customer, employee... And then they could take them with them or donate them to someone, e.g. an M in opaque color, or Migros in bright colors. I think that would have gone down well.
