Vegan products are more expensive than animal products - that's GenerationM! Or would it be more correct the other way around?

Vegane Produkte teurer als tierische - das ist GenerationM! Oder wäre es umgekehrt richtiger?

Dear Migros

Generation M would be for me if vegan lentils:
https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/157299200000
which use far fewer resources to produce than lentils with bacon:
https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/157232000000
were also cheaper than the latter.

Otherwise you have to assume that vegan products are artificially more expensive and animal products are artificially cheaper.

I know that the demand for the vegan product is lower and that it is also organic - but it would be commendable if Migros offered the vegan product cheaper than the animal product. This would promote a sustainable lifestyle (Generation M). After all, if you eat a plant-based diet, you should be able to eat more cheaply than if the food first has to be processed through animals, which takes up many times more effort and resources. You have to admit that it is illogical if, for example, a meat substitute product made from plants is more expensive than meat; even more so if lentils without bacon are more expensive than lentils with bacon.

Generation M: Migros promises that the median price of vegan food is significantly lower than the median price of products with ingredients of animal origin.

Why is the rice drink (a little rice, sunflower oil, salt and water):

more expensive than a liter of fresh cow's milk?

No child understands this...

Please Migros, do something, it's unacceptable how the animal industry is literally being suppressed in terms of price. Meat is far too cheap, as is milk and dairy products.

Perhaps it's the other way around: vegans are the only ones who are prepared to pay the price that a (plant-based) product is worth. The others want to buy the products for less than they are worth.

Hopefully this article is still politically correct enough. And hopefully it will make you think, or even better, take action.

Kind regards
Fabian
