Has anyone in the Migepediacommunion really had any experience with Subito?
I've already tried it 3 times for weekly shopping (amount between 350 - 450 Fr) and I'm thrilled! However, I haven't had a sample yet.
Since the introduction of self-scanning, I've only shopped this way. It saves a huge amount of time as the goods can be packed straight away and there is no need to queue and put them on the conveyor belt. Wouldn't want anything else! The random check was not a problem, because not all the individual products are scanned again, but only selectively checked. This makes shopping fun :-)
Self-checkout is certainly good if you don't have too many items. If, like me, you have a large shopping cart that feels full to bursting, the self-scanning system is practical, especially if you only check randomly and really only check individual products.
I think subito is awesome! Especially if you're making a big purchase. Firstly, scanning the products is very easy and secondly, you don't have to queue at the checkouts at the end, so you can really save a lot of time. Hope that helps!
I am delighted with Subito.
I usually do my bulk shopping once a week at a Migi, where you can scan the items yourself. The devices are easy to use. Every now and then an EAN code "spins" or is missing, you just have to report this at the checkout to the employee who should be there.
I also recently tested self-scanning for a few items, where you take your basket to a checkout, scan the basket empty and then pay. In Zurich Altstetten at the train station, Express branch. A great thing too.
I find both ways of scanning myself customer-friendly and time-saving.
I have had one sample so far. In contrast to Coop Passabene, where you are allowed to unpack everything again, at Migi the random sample is a random sample - selected items are scanned across the board. Good & fair.
So far there have been no checks in my Migros (Zugerland), but they will certainly come, as Subito was only recently introduced.
But I still can't support the Subito system. Unfortunately, I still see various dangers:
a) Reduction of jobs: as fewer cash registers have to be operated, fewer staff are needed at the cash registers
b) "bad" people who put products in my bag without scanning or who scan a product that is not in the bag.

What negative thoughts do you have! Do you really think there are people out there who want to trick you and just put stuff in your cart or randomly scan a product you haven't bought! I hardly think so.
I don't believe in staff cuts either. You still need staff for spot checks and on-site support/supervision.
Speaking of which, if you don't support Subito and therefore don't use it, how do you know that there have been no spot checks (yet)?

The "advantage" is clearly that MIGROS can now not only determine what you bought when and where, but also which route you took through the store, how much time you spent where, etc. (Big Broter sends his regards to). (Big Broter sends his regards....)
I haven't used the system yet either, and I don't support it either. We are being "screened", controlled and observed more and more. @Daniel Gyro Gearloose, exactly! Big Brother is watching you...
Sure, it may be easier and quicker. But at what cost? ... Don't want to write too much here, those who really know, know what I mean ;)
