I always use the Self Check Out option. From time to time, however, I would like to pay with cash and still use this option, but this is not possible. I think this is a great pity. Why can't you shop, scan all the items yourself, then finish shopping, check out, return the device and then choose on the monitor whether you want to pay by card or cash? If you pay by cash, you could go to the (express) checkout with the printed receipt of your purchase and pay there; this would still save time for both the customer and the staff. There are people (older people, or people who only want to pay in cash on principle) who would like to use this system but have to do without it because they want to pay in cash. I think this is a great pity. In other stores (e.g. Coop) you can also scan in your own card and then choose how you want to pay. Will Migros also make this change? I would be delighted, and I was told at Länderpark Stans and Migros Sarnen that this was the most frequent point of suggestion and criticism.
