I asked for sugar-free chocolate last year. So far, no positive response from Migros. But great disappointment on my part. I'm currently on vacation. And what do I see in the "Spar" supermarket: dark chocolate (cocoa content 52%), Spar's own brand. It tastes excellent, not bitter at all. I definitely no longer understand why Migros, which is so proud of its Frey chocolate, doesn't offer chocolate without sugar. Why not import the chocolate from "Spar" and try it? By the way, there is a whole range of other types of chocolate for all those who like chocolate but have some kind of allergy. E.g. gluten-free chocolate etc. I am convinced that there is also a market for this in Switzerland. So I would buy the sugar-free chocolate immediately. I promise.

The desire for sugar-free products or products with reduced sugar content is being expressed more frequently and Migros is also becoming increasingly aware of healthy food. In this context, I think the idea of adding sugar-free chocolate to the range is a good one.
I also think your suggestion for customers with intolerances is very appropriate, as chocolate with a very high cocoa content usually also has less milk.
I will pass on your idea to the people responsible and hope to be able to give you feedback quickly.

- 1001.308 Frey chocolate bar Noxana
- 1002.320 Frey chocolate bar Giandor
- 1016.083 Frey Eili Giandor (only available in the Easter range and for a short time)
- 1005.037 Frey Hase Lampino (only in the Easter range and available for a short time)

Big disappointment: Yesterday (Saturday, March 15) I went to "my" Migros, a large 2-M store, to look at the assortment. I had practically every chocolate in my hands, certainly including the Frey chocolate bar Noir special 72 percent. BUT: It clearly states that it contains sugar. Nothing about chocolate without added sugar. So the answer given by the product managers was simply wrong. But giving wrong answers is absolutely out of the question. As a customer, I feel ripped off and quite annoyed. I didn't find any chocolate that didn't have "sugar" in second place at the latest. My urgent request to Migros is to produce a chocolate that tastes great but is made without added sugar, just like its competitors do. I am aware that there may be a little sugar in one or other of the chocolate's ingredients. I'm not fussy about that. This is also the case with "Spar" chocolate. It would be an excellent advertising argument if Migros could put up a big billboard: The first Swiss chocolate without added sugar. So I would make myself available for the advertising campaign ;-)

as a chocolat-frey chocolate lover (i would even say that i am a chocolate gourmet (not to be confused with the gourmand)) i can assure you that there are various bars in the chocolat-frey range without added sugar. recognizable by a violet-purple logo "without added sugar" printed on the front.

so to claim that the product managers simply gave the wrong answer is not correct.
tell the migipedia team in which area you shop, they will be happy to clarify in which stores the "no added sugar" chocolates are available.

Dear Migros,
I checked "my" Migros again today: There is NO chocolate without sugar in the Gundelitor of Migros Basel. I searched the whole shelf. The dark Frey chocolate with 72 percent cocoa and the number 1001.217 is NOT on offer, only the sugary 1001.213. I have to say that this makes me very angry. I would therefore urge the Migros Cooperative Association to make the Migros Cooperative aware that sugar-free chocolate is also desired in Basel, and not just in Zurich or elsewhere. The purple sugar-free logo is not to be found on the chocolate in Basel. So my statement that the information from the product managers was wrong was correct, at least as far as the Gundelitor in Basel is concerned, which is one of the big stores in Basel.

According to the feedback from those responsible, all the products listed above should be available in the Gundelitor store. It is of course possible that one or the other product was not on the shelf for a short time when you were shopping. The best thing to do is to ask the sales staff on site - they will certainly be able to help you.

The statement made by the product manager is simply not true: I have searched the rack more than once on at least two visits to the store. I even photographed the display with the Frey-Schololaden 72 percent cocoa. There were never the chocolates with the purple signet. I'm definitely not blind. There's no question of "not on the shelf for a short time". Or they are already in the store, simply in stock, and the people in charge haven't even noticed that the same chocolate packaging is available with and without the purple logo. In the meantime, by the way, I have found the offer: In the Migros Dreispitz. I'm curious to see if the sugar-free chocolate will be in the rack in the Gundelitor on my next visit. If not, I'll ask for it and refer to the product manager's statement.
