Some time ago I noticed some recipe cards in Migros that you can take with you. I chose the one for the beef fillet with red wine balsamic sauce.
Surprisingly, even the cooking times are correct. Most recipe creators find it very difficult to provide information on low temperatures.
But who on earth invented this sauce? 3 dl red wine and 1 dl balsamic vinegar!
1. the balsamic vinegar shown is nothing special, you can also use what you already have at home
2. it naturally turns so sour that you have to sweeten it somehow!
The inexperienced person will probably have to use sugar. Thanks to my experience of cooking with balsamic vinegar, I refined the sauce with about 1 teaspoon of honey! THAT was exactly what it needed!
Dear Migros, if you're going to offer recipes, then please only offer ones that "verhebed". It's just a shame if you don't have a good sauce to go with such a delicious meat.
And for anyone who wants to cook this too: I have omitted the butter and used a really small splash of cream. Start carefully with the honey. You might need a little more. But it was heavenly like this! Exactly how it looked on the recipe picture on the card :-D
