I am simply very angry about Migros in general and about some impertinent and know-it-all employees at Migros Metropole in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
I am mainly a customer of MMM Metropole in La Chaux-de-Fonds. It was built by "successors" of Le Courbusier (an architect of whom the canton of Neuchâtel is very proud, although he was supposedly a NAZI) and unfortunately corresponds to the "esprit" of Le Courbusier ... "hui at the front and pfui at the back". The building is one of the "most beautiful Migros" I know, but completely impractical.
And this aspect of "impractical" and "confused" is also one of the reasons behind this story.
In September I had a reduction voucher "30 Fr on the Micasa range" minimum purchase 99 Fr.
I am a "burnt child": I know that in the Migros MMM Metropole in La Chaux-de-Fonds there is a "happy confusion" in the various Migros departments. The books (EX-Libris) are mixed in with the stationery, the women's stockings belong to the baby food and are next to the oranges. There are no less than (at least) 4 racks of dusty glasses, apparently being flogged by various Migros "ensigns" (it looks like a doghouse ... a few dusty "bones" (=glasses) in every corner, on an equally slightly dusty stand)! In the basement there are household goods, detergents and a somewhat odd assortment of odds and ends. On the 3rd floor, also somewhat jumbled together, there are DIY supplies (M-do-it), bed linen (Micasa), Christmas decorations (Micasa? M-do-it?), plastic crockery (Micasa?), pots-pans-potholders-household decorations (Micasa?) garden furniture - garden barbecues (M-do-it?, Micasa?), outdoor accessories (cool boxes, batteries, ....) (Micasa?, M-do-it?, M-Elektronix?), Chinese junk (Micasa?, M-do-it?, Melectronix? household?) ... even the employees of this store are no longer able to say ... what belongs to which Rayon.
Since it's all so extremely complicated to distinguish between the individual Migros divisions in this store, before I "activated" this 30 Fr voucher and before I bought the stuff, I looked on the Internet to see whether the products I wanted to buy belonged to Micasa. All these products are on display in the Micasa area on the 3rd floor of MMM Metropole (i.e. not in the "cleaning products/household goods" area in the basement) and I could assume from the location alone that they were Micasa products.
I then found these pages on the Internet:
https://produits.migros.ch/marmite-gastro-703306100000 it clearly says on the right: Micasa and that you can order the pot there ... so it is a Micasa article.
https://produits.migros.ch/micro-ustensiles-de-cuisson-m-topline-702926600000 also says here that the item can be ordered from Micasa.
https://produits.migros.ch/assortiment/supermarche/produits-menagers-nettoyage/cuisine/topline?productId=702963500000&_hash=vnUVY3vU/e5x/GT59QHnltmnX9TwfSigHdJVHUnHaOc%3D&facets=brand-MGR~retailer-micasa here it even says in the link, "retailer-micasa" and on the page it says m-topline and micasa several times
https://produits.migros.ch/assortiment/supermarche/produits-menagers-nettoyage/cuisine/batterie-de-cuisine?productId=703306100000&_hash=SAgdi4vmphSMC24l8dQWXG7duG5VxfjvCDQnRqLANBA%3D&facets=retailer-micasa The link here also says "retailer-micasa" and the website clearly states MICASA several times!
I then bought items from the "Top-line" and "Gastro" ranges for just over CHF 100 and expected the activated voucher (= CHF 30 reduction) to be deducted from the invoice.
When this didn't happen, I went to the Migross MMM Metropole information desk in La Chaux-de-Fonds and complained, demanding my 30 francs. The not very friendly employee (I often have to deal with him when I have to complain about one of the many mistakes that happen there) then called an employee from the 3rd floor (=Micasa and do-it), where I had collected these articles, to help me. This impertinent employee then tried to tell me that Migros-Top-Line and the Gastro pots are "household goods" and do not belong to Micasa. And this impertinent woman then also accused me of "constantly complaining".
In this Migros, "household goods" are located in the basement between detergents, cosmetics, soups, ladies' stockings and vitamins. The items I bought are on the 3rd floor in the Micasa section!
I therefore complained to the Migros info line. I had to enter the complaint several times because the badly programmed form doesn't work properly. And then I only got completely stupid answers. To this day I still haven't got my 30 francs and I've spent several hours complaining and retyping forms that don't work several times.
Finally, I received a completely stupid "reply" by letter from Migros Cooperation in Neuchâtel. They write the nonsense about "Rayon household goods" again ... and want to prove the whole thing with 2 completely insane photocopies ... which show the articles "Top-Line" and "Gastro" on a page with "Micasa" written large at the top...
I find it outrageous how these Migros employees treat me like an idiot!
If I don't get my 30 francs and compensation for my time within a very short time, then I will personally ask Mr. Bolliger to help his employees learn how to behave properly.
It is also very urgent that the Migros management simplifies the complicated nonsense with the various "vouchers" and ensures that this is no longer a "lottery".
Even though I live in the canton of Neuchâtel ... where a gambler's mentality prevails ... I can't stand "sweepstakes" and I expect Migros to stop organizing stupid games.
