I've often noticed that when I go shopping at Migros after 7 p.m., there are hardly any special offers, i.e. products that don't keep for long, such as yoghurt, fruit, bread, meat, etc.
Coop, Aldi and Lidl always have such products at -50% or even -75%.
Does Migros not have this at all or only on certain days? Or from what time, maybe I always miss it :)
This also happens at Migros. Prices are marked down when it's the last day of sales - but usually not before closing time, but earlier. If you don't get to the store until 7 p.m., most of the goods will probably already be gone. Or the sale of goods in your store is going so well that such price reductions are not necessary. Ask the store in question or write here which one it is so that the Migipedia team can clarify the situation.

As @AlMiDeCoLi and @Bodenseeknusperli have already written, there are also goods in Migros that no longer have a long shelf life, which are sold down. How quickly they sell out varies greatly. I can't give you a general answer as to when the goods are sold down. You are welcome to ask directly at your local store or tell me which store you are interested in and I will ask.

In the Wynecenter Buchs AG, on the other hand, I noticed that, for example, out of 20 identical products (cakes/cheese) with the same "for sale until", only about five received a 50% sticker, other products (same date) none at all, and that one hour before closing time on Saturdays.

I would like to pass on the feedback from the Zurich cooperative:
"In order to avoid food waste, offer our customers a special deal and work in an economically sensible way, we also reduce items by 25% or 50% shortly before the end of the sales date. It is up to the individual store managers to decide exactly which items to offer and when. They can assess on site which items are likely to be sold by closing time and in what quantities, and where there is a surplus. Reductions are usually only marked one or two hours before closing time.
Ultimately, however, a surplus is largely avoided by calculating demand very well. This means that in some sales outlets, products are rarely found on the shelves until shortly before closing time. And if they do, then in a quantity that can be sold regularly until the evening."

Migros and Denner even have significantly more half-price stickers than Aldi and Lidl. But 19:00 is definitely too late. From my own experience, these reductions are available in most stores around 17:30.
Sometimes I get the feeling in Buchs on Saturdays that everyone wants everything for free.

I've also sometimes wondered whether Migros doesn't give goods to Tischlein Deck Deck dich , die Tafel or Carton du ceure. Various workers have said no, whether they are Migros or Take Away. That would be a contact point for people with little money.
Point 2 if you don't have much money for food, shampoo, etc. Then, for better or worse, you have to do without something. For example, DVDs, clothes. I think I only bought my last new pants because it was too cold in winter. I save a lot of money. I also have IV and know what I'm talking about.

I don't know what anyone wants to do without. But think about it. I have to too. If it's not enough with EL either, you're sure to have a stupid guardian or even shittier guardian. Check the Migros newspaper for these campaigns.
If there are orange labels then it's good and you can eat most of it for 3 - 5 days longer. Always have a reserve in the freezer, reduced meat can be stored there for up to 3 months.
