Today I have just seen a report about plastic.
Because so many products are packaged in plastic, we are always consuming microplastics. The long-term consequences of this consumption are not yet fully known.
In one day, that's the equivalent of a credit card.
Dear Migros, I would be very happy if this plastic packaging could be reduced.
Migros Budget bananas are packaged in plastic... The other bananas are also unpackaged. Why is there a difference?
Grapes with few seeds can only be bought in trays. The "normal" grapes are unpackaged. I'd like to buy grapes without seeds and without packaging.
Lettuce is packaged in plastic, surely that would work without?
I hope there might be changes in this respect?

Migros is working on using less and less plastic (I think I read that somewhere, either here in the forum or in the Migros magazine), but it's just not happening so quickly or it's taking a while to implement.
Exactly, even the cucumbers, whether organic or not, are all individually wrapped in plastic, whereas I can buy them unpackaged at Coop.
I would also like orange juice in a glass instead of PET or Tetra.
I am aware that the changeover will take time. Certain improvements have already been implemented. Please keep it up! ?

Cucumbers have been available WITHOUT plastic for quite a while now.
And I think they sell well, they don't go bad too quickly before being sold.
Juice in glass hihihi after mineral and no matter what other drinks are only available in PET, that will probably never come!
In the thread with mineral water and plastic... have a look...
In Tanzania there was Coca Cola in glass, and they've now switched to PET there too... And only because Coke wants it that way. The population is told how light the bottle is and no deposit is great.
Only the new massive piles of waste were not mentioned.
You have to give Migros a little time, the changeover takes time... True to the motto "A M langsaMer" ??
