Exactly. Imported parsnips are also available almost all year round (I don't like them at all). Parsnips, on the other hand, I often have to go to the trouble of buying them myself because Migros and Coop only offer them for a short time :-(.

Hello Twilight, thank you for your inquiry, which we discussed with the Lucerne cooperative. Yes, organic parsley root is normally available at this time of year. But this year the article has suffered greatly from the drought. At the moment there are no or very few Swiss products available and none "from the region" at all. We may be able to offer imported products next week, as our suppliers from Switzerland do not have any parsley root in stock - but this has not yet been decided. However, organic parsnips are a good alternative. It has practically the same taste and can therefore also be used for other purposes. Best regards, Mia

Well, totally different. Unfortunately, I don't like the old parsnips at all and you can find them almost all year round, whereas the parsnip season in Switzerland only lasts a few months :-(. It's a shame, then we'll just have to switch back to Germany... By the way, I found what I was looking for at Alnatura and bought them all ;-P
I also don't know why parsley root is so disdained and everyone celebrates parsnips, regardless of the weather and cultivation. But everyone always parsnip parsnips, admittedly I had discovered "Peterliwurzel" (which is not Peterli as I recently learned when growing it myself) for the first time because I had sown it in the garden. And what a delicious little root it was. Hopefully next year there will be a parsley root recipe and advertising campaign and everyone will know the vegetable so that it is lucrative for the stores to offer😁
Definitely! I totally agree with you, root parsley, parsley root or whatever is simply too little known :-). I've also grown them myself in a balcony pot... Well, after a few months they were unfortunately only a few centimetres tall, so they didn't reach that far when I was eating them :-P. I like to eat them raw, as stalks with a dip or as steamed vegetables, sometimes as a puree mixed with other vegetables or in the oven, which is also great! Or shredded instead of celery as a salad with walnuts...

:-( Still none, what a shame, the season is coming to an end and I've never been able to buy parsley roots in Migros. I'll buy them in Germany tomorrow... I don't like it myself, but across the border I get the best quality "a.d.R." almost all year round...
