There will come standard answer, texture sensory flavor properties for production ectect. Absolutely incomprehensible. And I want to try it so much?
Yes, sorry, it's always the same old story from all sides that use palm oil. But I'll give you the chance to write something other than "very good melting behavior, less acreage, high yield blah blah blah etc.".

I have now seen that ALMOST ALL VERMICELLE contain palm oil and not only at Migros. I only buy these and other fine things from my baker who makes everything without palm oil and it tastes great ?

I just checked, my Coop Naturaplan with organic bud has none uff luck. It's just chestnuts 74%, sugar, water. Why do you need palm oil if you can do without it, as others do, Migros? Cheap extender I suppose.
So great, must have been good? I also looked in the Coo but unfortunately couldn't find any. Now I go to the bakery when I want something without palm oil, it tastes even better ?

Dear users, thank you very much for the various contributions. As you correctly suspected and also know from other forum posts, palm oil has a positive influence on the consistency of the mass. This is not an excuse, but a fact. However, the specialist agency informs me that we are also conducting tests to offer a palm oil-free variant. You can find more information on palm oil at the following link: https://generation-m.migros.ch/de/nachhaltigkeitsthemen/nachhaltiges-palmoel.html Best regards, Richi

Thank you for your answer. For most of us, this is and remains an excuse. In the past there was no palm oil and it tasted great and the consistency was also great. It is also unbelievable that existing products are suddenly being made without palm oil, which is of course great. Palm oil is CHEAP, easy to get and has great properties. IT IS UNHEALTHY, DESTROYS NATURE AND KILLS PEOPLE AND ANIMALS. RSPO is just a piece of paper like most certificates, because without control it is worth nothing.

Vermicelles itself does not contain palm oil, tastes great and has the desired consistency. The palm oil is apparently only added for processing - so the reasoning is actually wrong. That's why I buy the mixture (Coop sells it made from chestnuts from high-stem trees in Ticino) and make my own desserts.

It's embarrassing that you're still being served such excuses here, dear Migros. The honest answer would also be extremely embarrassing, as usual it's all about the financial side. It's also embarrassing that Migros has to use around 8 times more palm oil than Coop!

How high is the percentage by weight? If it's in the parts per thousand range, it wouldn't really be worth mentioning.

Hello remoapeter, thank you for your question. The proportion in the 95 g vermicelli cup is approx. 2 %. Best regards, Angela
