Because the taste of Halo Top and Oppo is worlds better and more unusual than Leger Vanilla.
If I know Migros, a private label would take a few months, but the listing of Halo Top or Oppo Ice Cream would be much quicker.
In addition, Oppo uses stevia, but Leger uses sweeteners, which you can taste in the flavor... Also: OPPO is now also successful in Ireland, the Netherlands and Belgium - and is now also available in Germany.
And Switzerland must be an exotic country or what?
Thank you for your request. I have already placed your input with the relevant departments. In the ice cream sector, we have been covering the majority of our products with our own brands for some time now, and with our own industry we are constantly monitoring the market and always trying to launch new products. Customer feedback and input naturally help us to do this. At the moment, however, we cannot make any concrete statements about any changes to the product range. The fact that certain Léger products have been removed from the range is due to a lack of customer demand.
But an introduction to the frozen food sector would be worthwhile. Apart from COSTA and Kinder Glace, there are hardly any branded products there.
I can also bet that Migros won't be able to produce ice creams like OPPO or Halo Top...
Unfortunately, this complicated thinking at Migros with regard to own brands/foreign brands sometimes leads to a slump in sales. Migros has understood this with EMMI Cafe Latte. I hope that Migros realizes that in certain areas own brands do not get the acceptance that they would get with certain external brands.
Dear Migros, I would also love to find this ice cream in our range, especially if you were to offer the low-calorie version. I've already bought it in Germany and it just tastes great and a whole tub only has about 300 kcal ??? so I would be totally happy if it were available here
