Consumables, you replace them relatively soon because they simply get very dirty. Does the plastic now have to be chrome-plated for the price to triple?

Hello Ramar, thank you for your contribution. Is your query about a specific drain strainer or is this a general observation? Best regards, Chloe

Dear Chloe I assume it's about these products here: https://www.doitgarden.ch/de/p/675004100000/diaqua-abflusssieb-klein-chrom https://www.doitgarden.ch/de/p/675004200000/diaqua-abflusssieb-gross-chrom Best regards
Throw it away because it's dirty? Is it a disposable item? Hmm, I would clean it every now and then, then it will last forever. You can also put it in the GS, then it will even clean itself again.

The chrome drain strainer we have didn't get dirty (because, as you say, if you clean it regularly, it won't get dirty), but the chrome is chipping off... It doesn't look nice any more, but it doesn't bother us that much; we'll only replace it when it breaks, as long as it does its job as a drain strainer, it stays ;-)

I only know it as a part that is made entirely of chrome steel. It really does last forever. Stupid invention, making the part out of plastic and then covering it with chrome steel. You could really just make it completely out of metal. Waste avoidance and all that.
Yes, that one. Maybe it's because of my branch. It's ugly anyway, like a bunker, hardly any daylight. As a store manager, I'd probably get stupid in there too and have chrome-plated plastic parts delivered.

I've been using the smaller white one for years, including daily cleaning. What annoys me is that the sieves used to be sold open and are now packed in plastic boxes, making them much more expensive.

You raise an important issue. Open sale. Why do you have to buy two pencils with cardboard and plastic?

You can buy all kinds of pens in the stationery shop. Just don't be so fixated on Migros.

You're right, but the prices in the stationery shop are a lot more expensive than in Migros...
