Novelties ... where are they?

Neuheiten … wo sind sie denn?

I visit Migros every two weeks to do my shopping. Normally it's Thursday, in the months of July - August it's Tuesday because of the senior discount.
In addition to my usual purchases, I also load all the new products, except for Léger, organic, body hygiene and cosmetic products, into my trolley.

Today I found nothing new apart from the M-Classic raspberry tart. The Rapelli Beef Tartar and all the Starbucks milkshakes were missing, but I did find a limited edition coffee, the Delizio Utengule, from Tanzania. Too bad ... I would have tried the tartar and the "Starbucks", especially now that the weather was finally playing along to enjoy such products.

I think that if innovations are communicated in a big way, they should be present and not be conspicuous by their absence! By the way - I left the store complex at 11:05.

Hello Istanbul

Thank you for your message. You are of course absolutely right - announced products should be available in Migros from the date mentioned.

I would be happy to clarify for you why this was not the case with the Starbucks products, for example.

Kind regards
Tanja, Migipedia team

i find that very exciting: istanbul - a senior, i would never have thought! cool! chapeau! :-)
my granny is certainly quite a bit older, but she would never be active on a platform on the internet! :-D
question: when did you enter the business complex?

My question doesn't quite fit the title, but I'll ask here anyway. I've often noticed the following: Migros introduces a new product to its range, such as Starbucks coffee (Istanbul, it's worth putting it in the caddy the next time you go shopping...)
The product is displayed large with the "new" label and advertised in the Migros magazine.
Approx. 2 weeks later you receive 20 Cumulus points on the now no longer soooo new product. Why not from the very first day?

It's called marketing, kangaruh... Those who are "keen" on new products buy them immediately. The "hesitants" then have to be lured with 20x Cumulus and for the very slow ones there's a 2-for-1 promotion ;-).

Hello everyone.

The delay is not a marketing measure, but rather has a practical background :-) The promotions and new products are available in the stores from Tuesday. However, it can happen that the delivery of new products to individual stores is delayed somewhat or that the products can only be put on the shelves later. This is why the 20x Cumulus weeks for new products are delayed so that the new products are actually available in all stores and all customers can benefit from them.

Best regards

Hello Daniel,

that's an embarrassing answer. What does a person from Chur who shops at Gäuggelihof care if the Genevois at MParc La Praille gets the 20x Cumulus!

Of course it has already happened, thanks to the IT department, that items such as the Bifidus line were not yet marked, but the multiple points were shown on the receipt.

Greetings Istanbul

I am also a fan of Istanbul, but not because of his age (which is always relative), but because of his critical and competent nature and his commitment. I also openly envy him his mill :-)

When is there a senior discount?

Unfortunately, I can't find this out anywhere on the Internet.
Perhaps we will get an answer from MIGROS.

Not communicated!
