Molfina tampons with applicator

Molfina Tampons mit Applikator

Dear Migros, what has happened to the Molfina tampons with applicator? They seem to have disappeared from the range. I think it's a great pity if this is the case. Do I now have to buy the much more expensive Tampax tampons, or are you just planning a rebranding? Thank you very much.

Hello Antholudo, thank you very much for your contribution. I understand your displeasure. Unfortunately, we no longer offer the Molfina tampons with insertion aid. This is because our supplier has decided to discontinue production. We ask for your understanding. We offer Tampax brand products as an alternative. Best regards, Luisa

I think that's a total shame too!!! I've been doing well with it for years! Now tampax .... 1. plastic tubes, 2. fewer pieces at a more expensive price.... super customer-oriented .... I just came back from shopping frustrated... if i had known this earlier i would have bought a 10 year supply... i think there are none better than those from molfina

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately the Tampax tampons do not cover my needs. I only see two types (yellow & green). The red one (super strong) is not available. Kind regards.

Hello everyone, thank you very much for your feedback. We currently have no direct alternative for the Molfina Tampons Applicator Super Plus (article number 5206.158). We recommend the Tampax Compak Super (article number 5202.026) or the o.b. Pro Comfort Super Plus Digital Tampons (article number 5202.031) - however, the o.b. Super Plus does not have an applicator.

Adjusting our product range is always a balancing act for us. However, it is part of our job to monitor market developments and identify new trends. Nevertheless, I understand your displeasure. There are two reasons why we rarely provide information about product discontinuations: We suspect that our clientele would not be sufficiently aware of announcements about article tasks, as they are exposed to an excessive amount of advertising messages these days. In addition, comprehensive communication about items that we are removing from the range would involve disproportionately high costs. We hope for your understanding. Kind regards, Luisa

I feel the same way ???

Unfortunately, I found out today that the normal tampax with cardboard applicator are no longer available. Only those with plastic tubes, which unfortunately don't fit me (even more disposable plastic).
Then I thought to myself "then just take the ones from molfina" - surprise surprise, they are no longer available either. Thank you very much

Hello @eli90, thank you very much for your message. I understand your anger. Unfortunately, the demand for the two products was low, so those responsible have decided to discontinue the items. At the moment we can only offer the applicators with plastic tubes, but you don't like them. I am sorry. Best regards, Richi

Today in Migros I also wanted to buy the tampons I've been using for decades with the cardboard applicator - unfortunately to no avail.
Unbelievable, this decision.... :-(

It is also incomprehensible to me that Migros is simply taking a product that has been sold successfully for decades out of its range. I don't want plastic tubes or 'Flügeli', plastic fleece or other frills either... the only thing that has bothered me recently was the plastic packaging that was introduced some time ago. The good old paper packaging did the trick and didn't electrostatically stick to my fingers.

Please bring back the good old Molfina tampons with cardboard insertion sleeves! Not least for the sake of the environment!

Fortunately, this chapter will soon be closed for me...

I actually have to join in the discussion now, even though it probably won't help. I was also very surprised when I wanted to buy the Molfina tampons with applicator last week. As I shop in a smaller store, I initially assumed that they wouldn't be able to offer everything due to lack of space. That's why I went to a larger store today and, oh wonder, there was no sign of the tampons I'd been buying for years. Extremely annoying! The Tampax tampons are not a real alternative, because with every second tampon the tampon gets stuck in the plastic applicator - so an applicator makes little sense! And the plastic applicator really isn't necessary in this day and age! Of course I am aware that a product range has to be adapted and revised from time to time. But the answer about "adapting to customer needs" (see above) is probably not applicable in this case. And how do you currently advertise so nicely on television "Migros belongs to the people" and emphasize, among other things, how proud you are of your own products. Well, I guess that doesn't count here, otherwise you wouldn't rely on a product of questionable quality. What a shame!
